Seven Oaks School Division Workshop


And This Is My Garden screened Nov. 3rd "How to Start Your Own School Garden", full-day workshop to "provide hands-on learning, link to core curricula & outcomes & grow a healthier community in the process". The workshop, initiated by Seven Oaks School Division, Winnipeg, was developed & co-presented by Katharina Stieffenhofer, Eleanor Woitowicz & Alexis Nazeravich. Good times were had by All!

Most Inspirational Film!



Throughout the summer and fall, Eleanor, Katharina, Bonnie and the gardeners have been very busy traveling around the province, presenting this film and participating in community workshops.
In September, Katharina visited Athens, Georgia to attend the EcoFocus Film Festival screening, where "And This is My Garden" won the 2010 "Most Inspirational" film award!

Eleanor Woitowicz was presented the Spirit of the Earth Award at the Manitoba Hydro Headquarters in Winnipeg on June, 21st, for her work with the Mel Johnson School Gardening Project. Congratulations Eleanor!
